Last weekend we attended my cousin's wedding in Spicer, MN. Except for the fact that it was unseasonably cold, the wedding was very beautiful and touching. The woman my cousin married had lost her husband and unborn child in a car accident not too long ago. She and her daughter survived. My cousin became a husband and father in one day. ALL of her late husband's family attended the ceremony. Her little girl was one of three flower girls. And not a single eye was dry when the bride uttered her vows: "til death us do part". Her voice cracked at that moment and that was it for the rest of us... What courage she had to stand there before us all and do a ceremony like this. The positive thing out of all of the sadness, is that she did find another really great guy. I know my cousin will be the best husband and father and still respect her sadness (and perhaps longing) for her first husband at times. I'm so glad they found each other. I wish them all the happiness in the world.
I didn't snap any pictures of the ceremony but here are couple of other shots...
Jackson and Daddy...oh, and I see Kate sneaking in the picture.
Miss beautiful Kate

Here is my sister DeAnn and her beautiful girls.
After awhile, it seems the lake became too intriguing for my children. Even though I specifically asked them NOT to put their feet in the water (because I knew that it would be too hard to resist going any further), I was notified by my sister that the kids (specifically Jack) decided to go WAIST deep into the water!!! Ugh...kids. Well at least they had fun, but it wasn't too smart considering that it was COLD that day and we had a two hour drive ahead of us. I think Jack somewhat regretted his decision when he had to strip down to his nakeds in the car and wrap my jacket around him! Boy was he embarrassed...
They think they're soooo cool.
